Thursday Throw-down NY vs London

So here’s today’s big question.  Which is a better tourist destination, New York, NY USA or London, England?

Why?  What are your favorite things to do there?

note- which is better for TOURISTS, not locals.  This isn’t about UK vs US.

That’s hard to say, since being from the U.S., London feels more exotic. I enjoy the theater and restaurants more in New York. But, you can’t beat the rich history that London has to offer…plus, you have the castles and royalty and what not.

Yea, personally I love London. One of these days I’ll rent an apartment in the city and spend a few weeks getting my fill. Until then, I scrape by with over-priced hostels. Actually, I’m thinking about couchsurfing next time we go.

Hmmmm…good question and I guess it depends on where the tourists are from.
As far as budgets: NYC Baby! I recently came from London to NYC and was very happy to trade pounds for dollars. For the first time in my life New York seemed cheap. I love both cities–the history, diversity, and yes, that cute accent, all make London kick ass. But I’ve fallen in love with New York all over again–the ’straight-forward friendliness’ can’t be beat. That’s what I’m talkin’ about!
